Development

BMAC International Trade Ltd is focused on the development of British – Hungarian commercial relationships. We are an award-winning start-up wholesaler working across nations and generations to bring high quality Hungarian products to British consumers.

Currently, we’re focused on introducing our UK audience to authentic, premium quality honey and wine from Hungarian producers in both Hungary and Transylvania (Romania). Our advantage is in the wealth of personal knowledge and experience the founder and her family possess in wine and honey, as well as their lifelong connections with local beekeepers and winery owners. Quality is essential to us in every stage of production. That’s why we choose to pack out honey in a Soil Association and BRC accredited British factory.

Please follow the links to the websites of Huro Winery and Bee Huro Honey for more information on these products and details of how to order.

History of BMAC

Our History

Ten years ago, CEO and founder, Eniko Balla moved to the UK. Leaving a professional career behind to start over in a new country was difficult at first, but she loved her new home in the sleepy seaside town of Hove. There was only one thing missing.

Honey. High quality, pure acacia honey like that produced by family friends in the perfect climate and vast acacia forests of Hungary and Transylvania.

Eniko could not find anything comparable anywhere in Hove - only honey from mixed sources, diluted with sugar or syrupy substitutes. Desperate for quality honey, she begged her parents to ship her some honey from home. For years, Eniko’s parents would send her honey straight from trusted sources. She could never find anything that even came close. It wasn’t long before family friends and neighbours started asking for honey as well.

It was only when she was completing her business studies at the University of Sussex that Eniko realised what an amazing opportunity that honey represented. By importing Hungarian honey to sell, she could use her 20 years of business experience to introduce more Hungarian products to British markets and empower Hungarian producers. This idea would quickly become Bee HuRo Honey.

Honey wasn’t the only product Eniko was excited to introduce to the UK, however. HURO Winery followed soon after, inspired by Eniko’s father and their family history of owning wineries, as well has her own childhood experiences of helping her parents and grandparents make wine using traditional practices from the region. Through BMAC International Trade, she hopes to keep the memories, traditions, and entrepreneurial spirit of her family alive, and to pass them on to the next generation.

Our company will soon expand into a wider range of eco-friendly products, as part of our mission to live in harmony with nature and practice sustainability.
